Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO)(ASX: XJO) and ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) indices finished lower on Friday.

Here’s a short recap of the Australian market:

  • S&P/ASX 200 (Index: ^AXJO) (ASX: XJO) lower 0.29% to 6,696.50
  • ALL ORDINARIES (Index: ^AXAO) (ASX: XAO) lower 0.25% to 6,788.80
  • AUD/USD at US 70 cents
  • Gold at US$1,406.86 an ounce
  • Brent Oil at US$67.06 a barrel

The best-performing ASX 200 share today was the Oil Search Limited (ASX: OSH) share price which increased by 3.5% thanks to a rising oil price.

The share price of Nearmap Ltd (ASX: NEA) dropped by 9.5% after announcing some of its FY19 growth numbers to investors.

The Telstra Corporation Ltd (ASX: TLS) share price dropped 0.3% in reaction to an outage of its services yesterday which led to EFTPOS and ATM failures.

Coal miner New Hope Corporation Limited (ASX: NHC) saw its share price increase by 1.1% after winning its court case relating to debt.

The share price of infant formula business Bubs Australia Ltd (ASX: BUB) rose by 6.7% after being on the end of a positive broker note.

The Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ASX: ANZ) share price ended the day down 0.2% after the market learned it was being sued in New Zealand.

Fashion retailer Noni B Limited (ASX: NBL) suffered a 1.5% slip of its share price after giving a FY19 trading update.

Finally the share price of Livetiles Ltd (ASX: LVT) dropped 2.7% after revealing its June 2019 quarter annualised recurring revenue.
